Marcela Camarena Lubian Artist Statement: “My work is born out of pure joy; my sense of wonder was restored by my kids who taught me to see the world with new eyes. I’m fascinated and obsessed with the wildlife in my backyard and the flowers in my garden that have thrived despite my brown thumb. I approach every new work without expectations or preconceived notions but rather let the painting come to life on its own. My favorite medium is acrylics, because I love the broad color spectrum available.
